Finance Magnates Intelligence brought senior executives, technology experts and financial industry professionals together for the first Finance Magnates Intelligence Forum, held on 30 September 2026 at the Amara Hotel in Limassol, Cyprus.
The invite-only gathering was created to bring together decision-makers from across the FX, CFD, fintech and financial services sectors for direct conversations around the issues shaping the industry, with a strong focus on market intelligence, trading volumes, data, artificial intelligence, regulation, technology, compliance and business growth.
Unlike a traditional conference, the Forum emphasized open discussion and the exchange of views between industry leaders. The day combined Finance Magnates Intelligence data and research with practical experience from executives working across the trading industry.
From Market Data to Real Business Decisions
Neophytos Papageorgiou, CEO of Finance Magnates, opened the event by welcoming guests and sharing the vision behind Finance Magnates Intelligence. This was followed by the Intelligence Brief, led by Ramzi Ahmad, Director of Intelligence at Finance Magnates, which examined the relationship between broker website traffic and actual trading volumes, offering a closer look at what market data can reveal about broker performance.

The discussion highlighted an important point for financial businesses: online visibility does not always tell the same story as commercial performance. Finance Magnates Intelligence has tracked website activity across hundreds of brokers and compared this data with proprietary trading-volume intelligence, showing how different measures can provide very different views of a company’s market position.
The session was followed by Demetris Koutsomichalis, Data Analyst at Finance Magnates, who explained how Finance Magnates Intelligence data is collected, processed and verified.
The discussion focused on the importance of data quality, validation and governance when using trading volumes, website activity, account data and other market indicators to benchmark performance and support business decisions.

The Forum then moved from data to technology, with Maciej Szeląg, CEE FinTech Lead at AWS, presenting on the infrastructure behind financial data. His session connected the growing need for secure, scalable and reliable data infrastructure with the wider use of AI and technology across financial services. Pasted text
Using Data to Drive Growth and Compliance
Another key session was led by Philios Petrides, Data & Business Intelligence Consultant, who explored how financial companies can use data to support both growth and compliance.

The discussion focused on the importance of looking beyond a company’s own internal data. Market intelligence can help businesses understand whether changes in trading activity, client acquisition or other performance indicators are specific to their business or part of a wider market trend.
This led into one of the key questions raised during the session:
What are we not seeing?
For brokers and financial services businesses, having access to wider market data can help place internal performance into context and support better decisions across marketing, sales, dealing, compliance, operations and management.
The Forum agenda then moved into an Executive Panel Discussion on Regulation, Growth & Competitiveness, followed by the Intelligence Leadership Circle Executive Roundtable Discussion. FM Intelligence Forum 2026 Agen…
The Executive Roundtable: Where the Real Conversation Happened
The executive roundtable was at the heart of the Forum.
Rather than simply listening to presentations, attendees were invited to share their own experiences, challenge ideas, and discuss the issues they are facing within their businesses.
AI, regulation, trading volumes, liquidity, data infrastructure, competitiveness, compliance and growth were among the main areas discussed.
The conversation around AI focused not only on what the technology can do, but also on the data and infrastructure needed to use it effectively. Participants discussed where AI can support financial businesses, where human oversight remains important and how firms should approach sensitive financial and regulatory information.
Trading volumes and the way different methodologies are used to measure market activity also generated strong discussion. Participants shared views on how volume data should be interpreted and how businesses can combine market intelligence with their own internal figures.
The discussion also returned to a major issue for the FX and CFD industry: differentiation.
With many brokers competing around similar products, pricing, spreads and execution messages, the question of how companies can create a clear and meaningful market position remains highly relevant.
The roundtable gave executives the opportunity to discuss these subjects openly and share what they are seeing within their own businesses and markets.
Bringing the Industry’s Leading Voices Together
The Forum welcomed representatives and executives from a wide range of companies across the trading and financial services industry, including Tickmill, VT Markets, LMAX, Capital.com, JustMarkets, Complyport, Libertex Group, IC Markets, Trading 212, TMGM, Dealio, Truvian, HFM and many more.
Finance Magnates Intelligence would like to thank all attendees for taking part and, in particular, for contributing their views during the roundtable discussion.
Their participation helped create an open exchange of ideas between companies operating across different parts of the industry, from brokers and liquidity providers to technology, compliance and financial services firms.
The value of the Forum came not only from the data presented during the day, but from putting that data alongside the experience of the people making business decisions across the market.
Introducing a New Way to Access Market Intelligence
The Forum also reflected the wider development of FM Intelligence, which brings together Finance Magnates’ market research, proprietary data, benchmarks and regulatory intelligence.

A Forum Built for Continued Industry Dialogue
The first Finance Magnates Intelligence Forum was designed to start a conversation between market data and the people using that data every day.
From trading volumes and broker performance to regulation, AI, compliance and technology, the discussions showed that the industry’s most important questions cannot always be answered by data alone. Data provides the starting point, while the experience and views of industry leaders add the context needed to understand what the numbers mean.
Finance Magnates Intelligence would like to thank all speakers, executives and guests who joined the Forum and contributed to the discussions.
The event closed with key takeaways from Ramzi Ahmad, Director of Intelligence, followed by an executive networking lunch.
